Hiya Fam!
You alright? Hope all is well back at home! I apologize for not writing the last few weeks as they have been very crazy! Well, It's that time of year again int' it, where the leaves are turning colors and autumn is in the air making England absolutely stunning! Yesterday we got to walk to church! For those that have never been out and about on an English morning let me tell ya everyone it is very quiet! It's like everyone disappears! Buses shut down stores are closed and it seems like everyone has disappeared! We are the only ones out! there's the occasional car but other than that it's just us and the big rolling hills of West Yorkshire! I love it! Missionary life kind can be quite hectic especially in the busy towns of England! You are always surrounded by noise and busy people! So finding a quiet time to reflect can be hard to come by! We had a great week this week! Our teaching pool consists of two families and a couple of uni students! They are all great! We also got to hear Elder Ballard again as he addressed the Europe area! He is an amazing man! He talked about how miracles have not ceased in our day! He told this amazing story of how President Kimball sent him to Etheopia during a drout! He was sent there with another seventy at the time to see where the church should use the money that the saints had donated to help the cause there! He said when he arrived he had never seen such suffering like this before! He told us images from the things he saw are still held in his heart to this day! He told us as he arrived he prayed to know what to do! He felt prompted to meet with the saints there, but when he looked up to see if there were any member in the area they found only one! They reached out to him and asked if he would join them in a sacrament meeting! So the three of them had sacrament meeting in the house of the only member in Ethiopia! It was just the three of them! He told us after the sacrament meeting they decided to have a testimony meeting! So all three testified and when it finally came to Elder Ballard, he felt prompted to use his melchizedec priesthood and bless the land that God may give them rain! Three hours after doing so it began to rain and he told us it rained everyday they were in Ethiopia after that! After words he went on to say miracles exist brothers and sisters but the biggest miracle even more then the one I just told you is the miracle of giving someone the gospel of Jesus Christ! He then went on to bear one of the most heartfelt testimonies! The Savior's mission as read in the book of Luke in the new testament says" 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised! The gospel is the good news! It's is the answer to all of life's greatest challenges and the greatest gift we can give any one in the world! The Savior is the only source of true and lasting happiness! He is the Prince of piece! When I am going through a tough time and begin to think that I can not go on no more! My mind takes me to Gethsamene! I imagine him! My Savior! Suffering beyond all comprehension! On his knees begging if there was any other way! But he did it! He did it because of his love for us! I am forever grateful! I love you all!
