April 16, 2018: President Nelson and Elder Holland

Hope this week was a good one for you. We had a great week here in the England Leeds mission. Although it might rain here a lot the seasons are starting to turn and everything just seems to be getting more beautiful by the second! For our p-day this week Elder Fife and I drove out to a secrete villiage out in the outer parts of Skipton! It was beautiful! I don’t think there is a more beautiful place in the world then the rolling green hills of Yorkshire.
We were privileged this week to be visited by Elder Holland and President Nelson and their wives! Truly remarkable men! We had Elder Nelson visit at the beginning of my mission and it is amazing to see how the mantle of his prophetic calling has fallen upon him! I really related to Elder Holland! He spoke about how sacred of a land England was to him and everything that his mission meant to him! I couldn’t help but feel the same! It is incredible to think that on September 8 2016 I took my first steps off the plain into a foreign land to start the beginning of a journey that has changed my life so much! I can not express in words the impact these past 20 months have been on me! The thought of it all coming to an end here in the near future is frightening! I am not scared or sad to come home, but am heartbroken to leave this land! I love it! It means everything to me! I am sure it would of happened anywhere else I was called but in this case it wasn’t! it was here! It's England and it is a sacred land to me! I will never be able to deny the feeling and experiences that have happened here! For me I don’t think it will be possible to come back the same! Because there has never been a land, or a people or experiences that have made such an impact on a person then my mission has had on me! It has been imprinted into the deepest part of my heart! It moves me to tears and sends me fire in my bones even thinking about it.
I love the lord! I am so grateful for him! The heavens are open and the fullness of his everlasting gospel is once again here on the earth!
“Now, what do we hear in the gospel which we have received? A voice of gladness! A voice of mercy from heaven; and a voice of truth out of the earth; glad tidings for the dead; a voice of gladness for the living and the dead; glad tidings of great joy. … Brethren, shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, brethren; and on, on to the victory! Let your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad.” -JS

March 17, 2018: Exchanges

Dear family and friends,
I don’t know where to even begin to talk about the past couple weeks! My time is quickly winding down here in England and to be honest I don’t where all of it has gone. I am grateful for this compacity where I am able to serve the Lord! My heart is filled and I look forward with optimism the remaining  6 months I have left!
We were on exchange all week this week! The Elders I went with were amazing missionaries! I even got to go with Elder Schmidt again! It was an amazing experience! The last time I was on exchange with him was at the beginning of my mission! We were both three weeks into the field and are trainers let us go together! All though we didn’t know much it was an amazing day! It was amazing to see how he has changed and how great of a missionary he has become! It was a great time to catch up and share experiences! He is a great guy! We had transfers this week and I will be staying here in Leeds with Elder Fife! Elder Stanley is training! So I will become a grandfather! I am so exited for him! He is going to be a great trainer! Overall I am exited to stay and continue to serve the Lord doing anything I can!
This week during my study I read an account Of a vision Joseph Smith had of the chorum of the 12 apostles. The Vision was guessed to be of the apostles in England proclaiming the gospel! In the vision Joseph explained he saw the 12 Apostles  in A room together in despair and discouragement! Standing above them was the Lord weeping, wishing that he could reveal himself to them and comfort them! But he could not. When I read this it touched my heart dearly! How great is our lords love for us! His love for us is perfect! There my be times where we may feel distant from him! But he is never far! He always desires to bless us! But in his perfect knowledge of whats best for us we can always trust that all things give us experience! That everything we endure is for our benefit!

March 6, 2018: Elder Taylor Field

Had to share this awesome experience that Elder Field(Ricky's HS best friend) shared with us:

"What an incredible opportunity technology has brought. On Wednesday morning I was able to testify along-side my childhood buddy who is serving across the globe. So last Sunday I randomly thought of Kameryn Clark and so I looked her up on Facebook and added her as a friend. She accepted within minutes. So I looked at her profile and saw that her most recent post was something about Jesus Christ. Can't get any better than that. So I called President Bartlett right away and received permission to reach out to her and to try to teach her. When we add someone to our teaching pool we usually find a fellowshipper for them. When I reached out to Kameryn the conversation went great and led up perfectly to an opportunity where she would be open to skyping and hearing more. I wanted to make this a great experience for Kameryn and so since Rick knows her pretty well too and from more of a different angle (They graduated from Liberty together) I reached out to him over Facebook Messenger. We talked and he then reached out to his mission president who gave him permission to join us for a video lesson. So for a lot of the day on Tuesday Rick and I were able to message back and forth to plan for the lesson. It was so cool to hear about his approach to teaching. By no surprise, Ricky is really good at caring for the people and teaching according to their needs. Well Wednesday morning was pretty special but let me give you some background.

Back in April, about 2 weeks before I came back out on my mission, I was in the temple and received revelation that I needed to reach out and connect with a few individuals before I left again on my mission. Kameryn pressed my mind strongly that day and so I went down to Tucson to see some people and I was able to see her for about an hour. It was a great visit but been since then I've kind of been kicking myself for not trying to share the gospel with her more. In retrospect I can see that the Lord was wanting me to wait.

As we were talked on Wednesday she mentioned some significant things that have happened since I saw her in April. One of those was about how when she visited Rachel Allen in Hawaii and that she went to church with her every week! The other was that she mentioned that she has really increased her faith in Christ during this past semester and started making scripture study a part of her daily routine. I know both of those events prepared her even more to receive the gospel. And also on Wednesday she mentioned that she had seen the missionaries on campus! She said that that was only the 2nd time she'd ever seen them on campus... Interesting how that happened to be right before she Skyped with us. Haha. It's all a part of His Divine Design.

Anyways, we taught a lot about the Book of Mormon and when Rick and I were able to testify back and forth it was one of the most powerful feelings of the spirit that I've ever felt. Who would have thought that Rick and I getting called to England and Idaho would have an opportunity to teach together. Pretty Incredible. We are hoping to get her to meet with her local missionaries and to still be involved with her progression. What was almost even cooler was what Rachel Allen responded with the next day after I reached out to her and told her all that had happened.

"Elder Field! Hi okay first I have to tell you I got super emotional reading this. You don’t even know how much I have been praying for guidance in teaching Kameryn. I also have known that she is so ready for this but have been hesitant to know how to go about it. So getting this message and knowing that you followed that prompting seriously makes me so happy. So Kam of course has had some influence of Mormons through hanging out with us in high school and she came with me to girls camp one year and actually bore her testimony of the feeling she felt while being there. And this past summer she came and lived with me in Hawaii. She got to be in a place where the Spirit is so strong. She came to church all 3 hours every Sunday and I noticed how she would take notes and a few times even got emotional during sacrament meeting. My friend was the Sunday school teacher and I asked if they could make the lessons more simple and basic specifically for her. I know she learned a lot but had a lot of questions as well. I did my best to answer them and bear my testimony to her and had the prompting to give her my old Book of Mormon so I did. After she left Hawaii I was hesitant and didn’t want to push too hard so ever since I’ve been praying for guidance in what to do. I have known that her talking to the missionaries would be the next step but didn’t know how to go about it so I am SO grateful Tay that you took that initiative. Ever since she left Hawaii she has told me that she feels as though something is missing in her life and I have tried to make it clear to her that it is the Spirit and this gospel but I’m hoping missionary discussions can make that known to her. Kam is amazing and I know she will benefit so much from this amazing gospel. I would absolutely love to be apart of journey and help in anyway that I can, please just let me know what i can do! I love you tons Tay!"

So awesome. A day I will remember for a very long time."

February 17, 2018: 40 baptisms!

Hey everybody! Hope your week was amazing! Everything seems to be going good right now! It's looking like in March the mission will hit 40 baptisms! Which will be the first time in a long time and President said it might be the highest in the Europe area, next to this island just off of Africa! They baptised a ton because they have just Africans! ( They don't count really though!) Elder Fife and I are having a blast! We are in York for our p-day! York is one of my favorite places! They are having a Jorvic Festival right now so the whole town is set up to to look like a throwback to Viking history! It's quite cool! We went on two exchanges this week in Hull and Billingham! Both missionaries I went with were amazing! When we were in Hull we had a chance to pop into Grimsby for a blitz with the Grimsby Elders! I always enjoy going back to Grimsby! We also had zone conference this week! It went very well! President gave some good instruction on Jacob 5 that I really enjoyed! Like always and I am sorry nothing to crazy happened this week! I can't believe how fast time is flying! I love you and miss you all elder Tuita!

February 24, 2018: My mission has been hard....

Family,
It's seems like you guys had a fun week! It makes me happy to see that
you guys are happy! It makes being a way from home a lot easier
knowing that you guys are well! I can't believe how big everyone is
getting! Leah and Jojo are getting so old! My little sisters are
growing up so fast! You guys looked beautiful though! It's good to see
your faces! Malakai on the other hand! I don't know what happened to
him!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚That hair man. We are on the road with President and Sister
Turvey doing interviews and training and stuff and I showed them a
picture! They thought it was quite funny! I'm sure it's just a phase
your going through! Anyway this week was good! Like I said we were on
the road this week conducting training! Are training was on teaching
repentance through the fruits of the gospel! It's going really good!
We were in Sheffield and hull this week and next week we are in
Huddersfield and Leeds! So we won't have to travel so far this time!
I hit 6 months left in three days! Wow! I can't believe how fast the
time is going. I almost just want it to slow down! I keep having
dreams that it's all over! I'm not scared to come home I miss you guys
a ton! But I am scared to leave! My heart is here in England and the
thought of leaving it all just makes me quite sentimental! I've
learned to love the people here so much! I just pray that I will make
the most of the time I have here!
In my study's this week I came across a quote from Brigham Young
that has been on my thoughts throughout the week!
"You that have not passed through the trials, and persecutions . . . ,
but have only read of them . . . may think how awful they were to
endure, and wonder that the Saints survived them at all. The thought
of it makes your hearts sink within you . . . , and you are ready to
exclaim, “I could not have endured it.” I have been in the heat of it,
and I never felt better in all my life; I never felt the peace and
power of the Almighty more copiously poured upon me than in the
keenest part of our trials. They appeared nothing to me. [JD 1:313]"
My mission has not been easy! But through the " keenest part of my
trials" that I have endured here I have felt the peace of my lord like
never before! I've become acquainted with him through my extremities!
There is something that is amazing about this faith that you can not
simply find anywhere else! And that is the peace the saints find in
the savior and his gospel! Whatever we face in this life what ever is
thrown out we have piece in Christ, and hope! Not just any type of peace
or hope but one that brings out the best in us! It is real it is a
power that no one else has! Or I have just not seen it yet! Remember
the early saints that crossed the plains! Most could not endure such
dreary experience as they did! The Donner party could not! The Saints
died in each other’s arms. Some praying facing towards zion with tears
in there eyes! Many giving the little food they had left knowing if
they did it would be the end! Freezing to death while burying the
family that was walking in front of them! They promised
everything they had to establish Zion! Many did not make the long
journey! But although they did not make their destination I know they
ended up where they intended to go and that is Jesus Christ! Family
the spirit of Christ can not be faked! That's why I know it can be
only found here! Because I have felt it like fire in my bones!
I was asked the question this week by someone we were teaching! Can
this be real? What I'm feeling? This just all seems too good to be
true? My testimony to you family that it is! And it's beautiful! So
very beautiful!

    February 10, 2018: Maloms Cove/Harry Potter Film

Hi family hope you guys had a great week!
I just wanted to start off by wishing my beautiful mother a happy birthday! I hope it was the best day ever mom! Love you a lot! I am sad I didn't get to be there!
We had a great week this week! I am learning a lot ! I really love my new companion! He is a really good guy! His personality really reminds me of Uncle Jake! We had quite a few meetings this week! On Tuesday we got to welcome all the new missionaries! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ It's so weird to see them! They were all in shock! Our mission is very bicultural so out of the 11 coming in I think 3 were from Unite States. There was this bloke from Moscow his accent was sweet! After greeting the new missionaries we got to take the missionaries going home to the airport it was so weird! I'm so scared I miss you guys, but I am by no means ready to come home! On Thursday we met with all the district leaders in the mission! I got to see Elder Livingston which was super fun! We gave some instruction as well! The next day after that we had Mission leadership council! Elder Fife and I instructed on "breaking the roof" on our faith and expectation! It was really good! Today we are taking a little bit of p- time to go to Maloms Cove! They shot a little bit of Harry Potter and it's not too far from the office! I love you guys miss tons!

January 21, 2018: Visit to my first area/ Grimsby!

    Dear family and friends
I hope all is well! I apologize for the lack of writing home! Things have been quite hectic lately! To be fair I haven't had a pday in like 3 weeks! Knowing that, I don't have one tommorow as well  I thought I might as well write you now! I will make it quick! I am currently sitting at the back of the Grimsby chapel! We were on exchange with the Grimsby Elders and considering that we don't have an area or an assigned ward we thought it would be cool to attend church here! It's quite a surreal feeling! It's been 9 months since I left! The ward is doing great it was nice going around seeing how everyone is doing! Grimsby is a sacred land to me! I learned so much and learned to love many people here! As I sit here looking around my heart is filled with joy to see how the gospel has healed the saints here in Grimsby! I am grateful for the love our Heavenly Father's has for us! While sitting here I was reminded of a story that I read at the beginning of my mission from President Nelson. I will share it with you, I hope it touches your heart as it did mine!
"While visiting the British Museum in London one day, I read a most unusual book. It is not scripture. It is an English translation of an ancient Egyptian manuscript. From it, I quote a dialogue between the Father and the Son. Referring to His Father, Jehovah—the premortal Lord—says:
“He took the clay from the hand of the angel, and made Adam according to Our image and likeness, and He left him lying for forty days and forty nights without putting breath into him. And He heaved sighs over him daily, saying, ‘If I put breath into this [man], he must suffer many pains.’ And I said unto My Father, ‘Put breath into him; I will be an advocate for him.’ And My Father said unto Me, ‘If I put breath into him, My beloved Son, Thou wilt be obliged to go down into the world, and to suffer many pains for him before Thou shalt have redeemed him, and made him to come back to his primal state.’ And I said unto My Father, ‘Put breath into him; I will be his advocate, and I will go down into the world, and will fulfil Thy command." Everything that I am and everything that I hope to become is all because what the saviour was willing to go through for me! I am so greatful for him! I know that he lives! This is his church ! He leads and guides it in these latter day!

January 7, 2018: Transfer to Leeds

Hey family!  You alright?  I know you are probably like why is my son messaging us today and it's not even Monday!!  Well, I have been transferred right in the middle of a new transfer period!  Yeah, so I am no longer in Melthem, I have been tranferred to Leeds. I don't really have an area anymore and from now on I will be emailing you guys on Sunday night as my pdays are no longer on Monday's!  I don't have much time to message like we usually do but will have just enough time to send a general one.  I hope your Sabbath is well!  Things are crazy here, it seems like everytime I get settled down something crazy happens!  The Lord sometimes suprises me just too much.  I guess it's a good thing, I feel his spirit so close to me.  I went on 6 exchanges this week it was mental!! I am so tired!  It's nice we catch a break this week and only have 3.  Next week we have zone conferences for the north and south which will give me a two day break!.  I miss you guys so much and loves talking to you and hearing your voices, you all mean the world to me!!

November 11, 2017: Tranfer to Meltham

     Family and friends!
How are you! Hope all is well back at home! I apologize for not writing for a while things have been quite busy! You all are always in my prayers! However I don't have much time today, so I apologize for haste in this letter!
Things have been quite crazy to be honest and at times quite overwhelming! We actually just got transfer calls and I am in a village called Meltham now! This is my first time serving in a village it's quite a cool environment to be in! It feels like I've gone back in time 200 years! The ward I'm in is amazing! One of the biggest wards in the mission! They also like to say they are the "best" ward in the mission! I guess we will have to see about that! My companion is elder Hoather he's a good bloke! He is from Canada and has been out for 3 months longer then me! We have found some good people! Overall, I am exited to be here in Meltham! Like I said though things are crazy right now! I read a conference talk earlier this week that brought me a lot of comfort and strength! It was from Elder Neil L Anderson talking about his mission, "Nearly 40 years ago as I contemplated the challenge of a mission, I felt very inadequate and unprepared. I remember praying, “Heavenly Father, how can I serve a mission when I know so little?” I believed in the Church, but I felt my spiritual knowledge was very limited. As I prayed, the feeling came: “You don’t know everything, but you know enough!” That reassurance gave me the courage to take the next step into the mission field."
It helped me too realize that despite my imperfections and weaknesses I can trust the Lord has prepared me enough too handle the challenges that I face in my life! I am thankful for the Lord and the strength I receive from him! I know his Grace is sufficient for us all! I find comfort in The Lord’s words to the Prophet Joseph Smith! I know it is the very same promise He makes to us in our feelings of inadequacy: “Hold on … , fear not … , for God shall be with you forever and ever.”

    Love you all, Elder Tuita

    October 16, 2017: Elder Ballard

    Hiya Fam!
You alright? Hope all is well back at home! I apologize for not writing the last few weeks as they have been very crazy! Well, It's that time of year again int' it, where the leaves are turning colors and autumn is in the air making England absolutely stunning! Yesterday we got to walk to church! For those that have never been out and about on an English morning let me tell ya everyone it is very quiet! It's like everyone disappears! Buses shut down stores are closed and it seems like everyone has disappeared! We are the only ones out! there's the occasional car but other than that it's just us and the big rolling hills of West Yorkshire! I love it! Missionary life kind can be quite hectic especially in the busy towns of England! You are always surrounded by noise and busy people! So finding a quiet time to reflect can be hard to come by! We had a great week this week! Our teaching pool consists of two families and a couple of uni students! They are all great! We also got to hear Elder Ballard again as he addressed the Europe area! He is an amazing man! He talked about how miracles have not ceased in our day! He told this amazing story of how President Kimball sent him to Etheopia during a drout! He was sent there with another seventy at the time to see where the church should use the money that the saints had donated to help the cause there! He said when he arrived he had never seen such suffering like this before! He told us images from the things he saw are still held in his heart to this day! He told us as he arrived he prayed to know what to do! He felt prompted to meet with the saints there, but when he looked up to see if there were any member in the area they found only one! They reached out to him and asked if he would join them in a sacrament meeting! So the three of them had sacrament meeting in the house of the only member in Ethiopia! It was just the three of them! He told us after the sacrament meeting they decided to have a testimony meeting! So all three testified and when it finally came to Elder Ballard, he felt prompted to use his melchizedec priesthood and bless the land that God may give them rain! Three hours after doing so it began to rain and he told us it rained everyday they were in Ethiopia after that! After words he went on to say miracles exist brothers and sisters but the biggest miracle even more then the one I just told you is the miracle of giving someone the gospel of Jesus Christ! He then went on to bear one of the most heartfelt testimonies! The Savior's mission as read in the book of Luke in the new testament says" 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised! The gospel is the good news! It's is the answer to all of life's greatest challenges and the greatest gift we can give any one in the world! The Savior is the only source of true and lasting happiness! He is the Prince of piece! When I am going through a tough time and begin to think that I can not go on no more! My mind takes me to Gethsamene! I imagine him! My Savior! Suffering beyond all comprehension! On his knees begging if there was any other way! But he did it! He did it because of his love for us! I am forever grateful! I love you all!

    September 4, 2017: One year

     Family and friends!
Hope this week was a great one for you guys back at home! We had a
pretty normal week this week. Huddersfield is a pretty cool place to
serve! There is a huge university next to us so we are able to talk to
a lot of cool kids our age! The younger generation seems to be more
open to the message we share! We met a few cool new people that we are
    begging to teach!
We also got some crazy new this week about 2 huge changes in our
mission! First off we are allowed to go to the temple now! This made
me so happy when I heard about it! I have missed the blessings and the
spirit there for a while! I am especially exited because one of our
recent converts in Grimsby is getting sealed here in a couple months
and now I will be able to go! Second, and this is really
crazy... we are now one of the missions approved to use Facebook! So
starting on Tuesday we will be getting Facebook! Now with this being
said I don t think I will use it that much considering that I never
used it at home but the cool thing about it is we are going to be able
to video chat and teach people over that! I don't know the gist of it
but we will find out more on Tuesday! What I do assume though is that
we are now allowed to teach people outside our mission boundaries
using the video chat! Which is crazy!
Well family, time goes by too quick! It's weird to say but in 3 days I
will have hit a year of being out in the mission field! It honestly
has gone by so fast! I am grateful for the time that I have had to
serve the Lord! England has become so much of a holy land to me!
Everyday this feeling of gratitude fills my heart as I walk this land
and have the opportunity to bring people to the Rembrance of there
God! Everyday, The spirit confirms in my heart  how much this is his
work! I see his hand in it every day! Quite recently I read a passage
of scripture that touched my heart quite dearly! It will be my
    testimony for you today!
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of
all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness,
and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace
sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and
if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny
    the power of God.
33 And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and
deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of
God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the
covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become
    holy, without spot.

    August 28, 2017: Sharon

    Hey family,
Hope all is well back at home! It's been a crazy week this week here
in Huddersfield! There was a lot going on! My companion Elder Viani is
a good guy, he's quite funny! His English is not the best so he asks me
how to say a word in English like every 30 seconds! He honestly though
is a really good guy outgoing about everything!  I don't know if it is
just the Italian culture but he is passionate about everything he
does! Like when he makes food he's dancing and singing at the top of
his lungs and he gets really into putting the
ingredients, he is really precise about it! He makes the best pasta
as well!  One night, this was funny, I had just got done following up
with the teams and I turned the corner and he was turned around facing
the mirror with his backside towards it! I was a little thrown off but
I went back around the corner so he didn't see me and just kind of
peaked my head around, he was flexing his butt off and on in front of
the mirror! He was like alternating cheeks and making noises! Honestly was
one of the funniest things ! I just started bursting out laughing! He's
like, "what you not like Elder Tuita?" In his thick Italian accent it honestly
was so funny I wish I would of gotten it on video! He's a good guy!

Besides Elder Viani this week was super stressful! When I gotten into
the area one of the three companionships that left had someone getting
baptized this week! So she was left to us! The day I got there I got a
call from the bishop saying how this girl shouldn't be baptized its too
early, she's not ready! I had not met Sharon yet, I guess the bishop had
just found out that week and so he basically told me we would be
pushing her baptism back! I explained to him my previous experiences
of pushing baptisms back and usually how if we push dates back when
they are ready the adversary is just too strong he'll swoop in and ruin
everything! In my first area in Grimsby, there were two baptism that did not go through
because the Bishop felt it was too quick and we had to pushed them back. Something
ended up happening to them both and we lost them.  It was tough because
I new they were both ready they wanted to change their lives so
badly! But without out entering into covenant that gave them access
to Christ and his atonement, the adversary was just too strong for them
and within that extra week Satan got a hold of them!  I
explained to him if she is not ready we will have to push it
back 3 weeks, because after this week she was going on vacation for 2!
So it was either she be baptized in 4 days or she would have to wait
another three weeks! After hearing everything from Bishop he explained
she had only been taught two discussions. The missionaries never taught her in
her home it was just on the patio, and on top of that there was never a member
present!  I begin to have my own doubts, but when I was able to meet her the
lesson was amazing and we had a member there
as well. The spirit was so strong! It was way evident that she was
ready and that this is what she wanted! She had stopped smoking cold turkey
she had felt the spirit, she was very converted! She was so exited for
her baptism on Saturday, leaving me feeling very stressed not knowing how to
convince this bishop that she was ready! It was so clear that she was ready,
and an over whelming feeling came to me that her baptism needed to be on
Saturday! Despite of this spiritual experience I remember being on my
knees with so much fear coming to me! All of these thoughts started
coming to me so I prayed again and still felt very strongly to do
whatever was possible to make the baptism happen on Saturday! I remember
sitting there feeling very alone and feeling very overwhelmed but I
knew what was right and what the Lord needed me to do!  I called
Bishop and he was not happy, he basically told me we weren't having  a
baptism and that we Elder were pushing this baptism! He was very upset
but I tried explaining to him as best I could that she was ready, and we can't stop her
from wanting this! An hour later president called and I explained to him the
situation! Things were not looking good, the ward was not happy I was
new and I just felt like everyone hated me! On top of that Sharon had
just gone missing we could not get a hold of her! I remember coming
home and praying that night asking Heavenly Father for help! I
remember feeling so lonely but while I was there praying it was almost
as if he was there comforting me himself! I
was reminded of what the savior went through and the lonely path he
made back to his Father in Heaven! I went to bed that night with piece
in my heart! That morning Sharon called us and told us she had just
been in the hospital for an emergency but was good to go! I called
Bishop again and begged him to let it happen! After a lot of talking we
finally came to an  agreement to have the baptism on Sunday after
church! Sunday came around and Sharon had a dream the night of of her
father telling her she was making the right choice! She was crying all
the way through her baptism! When she received the Holy Ghost one of
the members gave her this blessing it was one of the most beautiful blessing I
had ever heard! She was emotional all the way through! It was amazing!
I remember sitting there during the baptism with so much gratitude in
my heart! Afterwards, Bishop came up to me and and shook my hand
and said good job elder! You could tell he knew it was the right
choice! I think I realized and what the Lord wanted me to learn from
this is how the Lord is always with us when we are doing his will!  I
    am gratetful for his spirit!
Hope you have a great week!

August 21, 2017: Transfer to Huddersfield

    Hey family and friends
Hope this week was a good one as always! We had a good week here in
Bradford but I am sad to say it will be my last! I am going to
Huddersfield! I am a little sad! First off I am sad to leave Elder
Stanley! I have had so much fun serving with him it will be sad to
leave him!  Secondly, I am just going to miss the people here! The
culture everything! It feels like I am leaving family! The sad thing
is though I never know if I will see them again! I am so greatful  for
the time I have spent here!  I think the thing I will miss the most
about Bradford though is the food! They make the best curry here! It
is something I will defiantly miss! Bradford will carry a special
    place in my heart always!

My new companions name is elder Viani! He is Italian! His English is
not the best, so we will be able to take language study so maybe I will
learn some Italian! He's got some killer dance moves this kid! He is
just the funniest guy you would ever meet! I do not know too much about
Huddersfield but I am sure it will be great! The ward I will be
serving in is Huddersfield II! Our flat is right outside a major
university which makes me exited! I haven't had the opportunity to
teach kids around my age yet!( except for Ben who just got engaged
last week they set a date for their sealing, I hope President lets me
go!  It makes me exited because there a lot more receptive to the
gospel! Overall I'm exited for the move and look forward to serving
    the people of Huddersfield!

    Love Elder Tuita
